Ice Axe Expeditions
Antarctic Peninsula
In both 2023 and 2024, I had the extraordinary opportunity to join Ice Axe Expeditions as the official photographer and videographer on their ski expeditions to Antarctica, as well as the expedition photographer in Morocco. These once-in-a-lifetime adventures brought together a group of passionate skiers, mountain guides, and climate-conscious explorers who set out to ski untouched lines in some of the most remote and dramatic landscapes on Earth.
Antarctica Expedition Photographer & Filmmaker
As someone who thrives in harsh and unpredictable environments, Antarctica pushed every creative and physical boundary. My job was to capture the raw, cinematic beauty of this icy continent—its endless glaciers, towering peaks, surreal light, and the wildlife that call it home, from curious penguins to whales surfacing near our ship. But the story wasn’t just about landscapes. It was also about the human experience: the camaraderie on the boat, the grind of skinning up in polar wind, the joy of carving turns where few ever have.
For these expeditions, I was guided by legends like Chris Davenport and Stein Retzlaff, whose deep respect for the terrain and expedition culture made the experience all the more profound.

Morocco snow to sand expedition
In March 2025, I joined Ice Axe Expeditions again—this time for a brand-new ski expedition to Morocco, where desert and snow collide in one of the most visually striking regions I’ve ever worked in. I served once again as both photographer and videographer, documenting the juxtaposition of powder turns on North Africa’s High Atlas Mountains with the cultural vibrancy of Moroccan villages, markets, and ancient kasbahs.
From the rugged ridgelines of Oukaimeden and Toubkal National Park to the deep oranges of the Sahara dunes, the story of Morocco was about more than skiing—it was about contrast, connection, and context. Being part of this pioneering trip allowed me to blend adventure travel photography with cultural storytelling, something I’m deeply passionate about.
My Approach to Expedition Photography & Filmmaking
On every expedition, I aim to deliver high-impact visual narratives that balance the grandeur of place with the intimacy of human experience. Whether filming athletes descending steep couloirs or framing a wide drone shot of a ship navigating Antarctic sea ice, I’m constantly looking for ways to communicate both the scale and the emotion of the journey.
This work aligns closely with my other environmental projects such as A Farewell to Ice, and my print collections that reflect the power of snow, ice, and water in shaping life across continents.
