Expeditions

Exploring remote landscapes, mountain cultures, and adventure travel around the world. From Antarctica and the Arctic to Morocco and Kazakhstan, these projects combine expedition photography, environmental storytelling, ski culture, and human connection to some of the planet’s most extreme and inspiring environments.

Antarctica

Created while working alongside Ice Axe Expeditions, the series captures the experience of traveling and skiing through one of the most remote landscapes on Earth. Combining ski photography, wildlife imagery, polar landscapes, and intimate expedition moments, the project reflects on exploration, isolation, climate, and humanity’s relationship with the frozen environments at the edge of the planet.

Arctic

Photographed aboard the tall ship Antigua during Arctic Circle Residency in 2023, the series explores life and exploration in the high Arctic through images of glaciers, sea ice, polar landscapes, and daily life at sea. Blending environmental storytelling with fine art landscape photography, the project reflects on climate, isolation, scientific exploration, and the emotional experience of working in one of the world’s most remote and rapidly changing environments.

morocco

Combining ski photography, desert landscapes, and cultural storytelling, this expedition follows a journey from the snow-covered Atlas Mountains to the dunes of the Sahara Desert. Through documentary photography and cinematic imagery, the series explores the contrast between mountain environments, ancient landscapes, and traditional Moroccan culture while capturing the spirit of exploration and adventure in North Africa.

Kazakhstan

Exploring remote mountain landscapes, ski culture, and daily life in Kazakhstan. Through adventure photography and visual storytelling, Tamara Šuša documents the vast terrain, rugged beauty, and cultural contrasts of Central Asia, capturing the experience of exploration in one of the world’s lesser-known mountain regions.
