Editing & Post-Processing Instruction

Editing is an important part of the creative process. Workshops can include beginner-friendly Lightroom instruction or more advanced Photoshop techniques depending on your experience level.

Topics may include:

  • Adobe Lightroom workflow

  • Importing and organizing images

  • Basic editing techniques:

    • exposure

    • contrast

    • highlights and shadows

    • white balance

Example 2-Day Landscape Photography Workshop

Day 1 — Sunset Session

Meet at a photography location approximately one hour before sunset (earlier if hiking access is required).

We’ll focus on:

  • Composition

  • Light direction

  • Camera settings

  • Lens selection

  • Storytelling through landscape photography

Depending on conditions and season, locations may include alpine lakes, aspen groves, mountain overlooks, or hidden local spots around Aspen and Snowmass.

Day 2 — Sunrise & Editing Session

We’ll begin before sunrise to photograph morning light in the mountains, followed by an editing and portfolio review session later in the day.

Topics may include:

  • Lightroom editing workflow

  • Image selection and sequencing

  • Location scouting strategies

  • Planning shoots around weather and light
