Svalbard Fine Art Prints – Arctic Circle Residency Series
In the spring of 2023, I had the chance to take part in the Arctic Circle Art & Science Residency—a two-week expedition aboard a tall ship called the Antigua, sailing through the remote wilderness of Svalbard. This Norwegian archipelago, located just shy of the North Pole, is one of the most otherworldly places I’ve ever photographed.
The residency brought together artists and scientists from around the world to collaborate and create in one of the most extreme environments on Earth. For me, it was a deeply immersive experience: waking up to shifting sea ice, navigating around glaciers, and spending long, silent moments watching the light move across a frozen landscape that felt untouched by time.
These photographs capture both the grandeur and the subtle details of life in the Arctic. From towering cliffs and ice-choked fjords to quiet moments on deck with fellow residents, the images reflect a rare perspective of life at the edge of the world. The polar light—sometimes soft and eerie, other times cutting and brilliant—brought an emotional dimension to the landscape that I’ve never experienced elsewhere.
This collection is for those who are drawn to wild, remote places—and for anyone curious about what it feels like to live and work on a ship in the high Arctic. Whether it’s the stark beauty of an ice-covered shoreline or a quiet portrait of daily life aboard the Antigua, each print tells part of a larger story about climate, solitude, and exploration.
All images are available as fine art prints on archival matte paper or acrylic. Standard sizes are listed, but I offer custom sizing to fit your space. Framing options are available on request.
