Snowmass Balloon Festival | Chasing The Shot

Snowmass Balloon Festival must be one of my favorite events of the summer. It is also one of the most photographed events in the valley   This year I tried to get a different type of a shot - something that hasn't been done before. Luckily, Erin Delk and Cori Lambert were willing to cooperate with my crazy ideas and we hit the trail on our bikes at 7am on a Saturday! Lots of bear tracks on the trail at that time   Unfortunately, the winds didn't cooperate and the balloons didn't stay in the air for long and didn't fly in the direction I was hoping for either. Still made for some cool and unique photo opportunities!

On Sunday I scrambled up a steep hill in shoes with no traction to get that Snowmass shot. Barely made it down but got the shot I was looking for    Snowmass, you're a beauty as always, and huge thanks to Erin and Cori for going with me on a sunrise bike ride!
