Arctic Frozen Landscapes - Fine Art Photography Prints from Svalbard

Located high above the Arctic Circle and just a few hundred miles from the North Pole, Svalbard is one of the most remote and captivating landscapes I have ever photographed. In the spring of 2023, I joined an expedition aboard the tall ship Antigua as part of an art and science residency, spending two weeks exploring glaciers, sea ice, fjords, and remote Arctic coastlines in one of the world's northernmost inhabited regions.

This collection of Arctic landscape photography prints captures the extraordinary beauty of Svalbard's frozen wilderness. Towering glaciers spill into ice-filled fjords, rugged mountains rise directly from the sea, and shifting polar light transforms the landscape from soft pastel tones to dramatic contrasts of ice and shadow. ice at the Edge of the World

Photographing in Svalbard was a lesson in patience and observation. Days were spent navigating through sea ice, watching glaciers calve into the ocean, and witnessing landscapes that felt untouched by time. The ever-changing Arctic light brought a sense of atmosphere unlike anywhere else I have traveled, revealing subtle details within the ice and emphasizing the vastness of the surrounding environment.
